Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information UpStride LLC ("UpStride", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers our website at upstridee.com and our cold email lead generation services.
If you only have one question, this is the short version: we collect the details you give us on our forms, basic visit data from our website, and business contact details for the people our campaigns are meant to reach. We use them to run our business and our clients' outreach. We do not sell your data to advertisers, and anyone who asks us to stop emailing them is added to a do-not-contact list.

1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Forms on our website. When you ask for a sample trigger report or the first 10 leads, we collect your name, work email, company website and the short description you type about what you sell and who you sell to.
- Booking a call. Our "Book a 30-minute call" button opens a Google Calendar booking page. Whatever you enter there (name, email, time, any note) is collected through Google and shared with us.
- Emails, calls and meetings with us. We keep what you send us and notes about our conversations.
- Clients. If you become a client, we also collect the business information needed to do the work: your ideal customer profile, your product details, your team's contact details, and billing information so we can invoice you.
Information collected automatically
When you visit upstridee.com, our website host (Squarespace) collects technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the date and time. Squarespace uses cookies and similar technologies to run the site and to produce visit statistics for us. We do not run advertising pixels or third-party ad trackers on our website.
Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers when you load a page, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Business contact information of people we reach out to
Our service is cold email outreach to business people. To do it, we collect and use business contact details such as name, work email address, job title, employer, company information and public professional profile details. We get these details from publicly available sources, professional networks, commercial business-data providers, and our clients. We also record how people respond, including replies and requests to stop.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as health, financial account, or government ID details for outreach.
2. How we use information
- To respond to your requests and deliver what you asked for, such as a sample trigger report or the first 10 leads.
- To provide and manage our services to clients, including building contact lists, sending outreach emails on a client's behalf, sorting replies, and reporting results.
- To send business emails to people who may be interested in our clients' products or in our own services.
- To keep a do-not-contact list so that people who opt out are not emailed again.
- To run, secure and improve our website and our business, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations and to protect our rights.
3. Outreach emails and how to opt out
Our outreach emails are business-to-business messages. Each one includes our postal address and a simple way to stop receiving them. You can opt out by replying to any email with a request to be removed, or by writing to info@upstridee.com. We honor opt-out requests promptly, and in any case within 10 business days.
When you opt out, we keep your email address on a suppression list. We need to keep it so that we do not contact you again. We also tell the relevant client so they do not contact you either.
4. Who we share information with
- Service providers that help us run the business, such as website hosting, email sending and infrastructure, email verification, business-data providers, scheduling, and document and communication tools. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
- Our clients. When we build a contact list or run a campaign for a client, we share the business contact details on that list, replies, and meeting details with that client, who is the one who asked for them.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of UpStride, our clients, or others.
- Business changes. If UpStride is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that deal.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers. Because we compile business contact lists that clients pay for, privacy laws in some places may treat that delivery as a "sale" of business contact information. If you are in California, section 8 explains how to ask us not to include you.
5. Cookies
Our website uses cookies that are needed to run the site and to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work as well if you do. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising.
6. How long we keep information
- Form submissions, emails and call notes: up to 3 years after our last contact with you, unless we need them longer for legal or accounting reasons.
- Client records: for the length of the engagement and as long afterward as the law and our records require.
- Business contact information used for outreach: while it is relevant and accurate, and we review it at least once a year.
- Opt-out and suppression records: for as long as needed to honor your request.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and the security features of the services we use. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
You can contact us at info@upstridee.com to ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and where we got it;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop contacting you, or stop using your information for outreach.
We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within 45 days. If you use an authorized agent, we may ask for proof that you gave them permission. We will not treat you worse for exercising your rights.
California. If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose and sell, to request deletion and correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and to be free from discrimination for using these rights. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out of having your business contact details included in lists we deliver to clients, email info@upstridee.com with the subject line "Do not sell".
United Kingdom and European Economic Area. Where those laws apply, we process business contact information for outreach on the basis of our legitimate interest in promoting our and our clients' business-to-business services, and we process form submissions to respond to your request. You have the right to object at any time to direct marketing, and we will stop. You also have the right of access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Our providers are mostly based in the United States, so your information will be transferred and processed there, with appropriate safeguards where the law requires them.
Canada and Australia. We send outreach only to business email addresses that are publicly available or that were provided in a business context, we identify ourselves and include our contact details, and we honor every request to stop.
9. Children
Our website and services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Links to other sites
Our website links to other sites, such as LinkedIn and Google Calendar. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on the site.
